Soul Circus Funk indie blues explosion from Glasgow. Once upon a time in 1994 in a land far far away you can read about how Soul Circus came to be at http://members.lycos.co.uk/scircus/ Check out our review..
Track - 3 Monkeys. INL Comments: Described as a funk indie blues explosion. Explosion bit spot on!. I was asked to listen to Soul Circus's upcoming EP and decided on mentioning this 'little' number. Well here it is. Absolutly BAGS of energy and from what I have heard so far, yet another band where I'd quite like to be sitting right on the front row of Glastonbury listening to (maybe not quite beside the speakers!). It's the funky slightly jungle beat rhythms that get me going and the really good guitar riffs give a slight punk/rock edge. The track is punctuated with energetic and clean pounding drum beats. We hear some Mick Jaggaresque hard driven vocals, (the singer seemingly searching quite angrily for a piece of his soul)! This track is quite full of potentially audible good bits and pieces you don't wanna miss by hearing only once! Thanks Soul Circus! Overall Rating: For those who love energetic hard ROCK, if this doesn't move you. You're already dead! www.purevolume.com/soulcircus |
